PROS:

  1. Easy to apply. The eyeliner applies like a regular liquid eyeliner, applies smoothly and doesn’t clump or flake. You’ll need to apply 2-3 swipes so it’s good that it doesn’t clump.

  2. Dries quickly. I didn’t experience the liquid transferring to other parts of my lids, just make sure your lids are dry/primed and not oily.

  3. The lashes are already pre-curled, so you won’t need to curl and add mascara on the lashes after application. I highly recommend curling your own lashes BEFORE putting these the false eyelashes on for a more seamless look. You can brush the lashes together afterwards so that your natural lashes and the false eyelashes sort of weave together as well.

  4. The lashes came off clean, with no residue on the band and lashes themselves. In case there will be residue, it's easy to wash with mild dishwashing soap or micellar water. It's good practice to clean the lashes after every wear to avoid any risk of eye infection, etc.

  5. The upside of this liner lash combination compared to removing waterproof mascara — no raccoon eyes and sticky lash glue residue upon removal (and for the next 2 days).

  6. If eyeliner is already part of your regular makeup routine, this will be a breeze to apply.

NEUTRALS - depends on your preference and priorities

  1. The eyeliner is not waterproof, smudgeproof and sweatproof. For Zoom meetings or quick errands, I don’t foresee this as problematic. The liner is temperature-sensitive so just be mindful of when you use the lashes. I wouldn't recommend them for shooting workout videos or if you're doing a zoom workout with friends.

  2. The liner is moderately easy to remove. Since they advised to keep lids oil-free when using the liner, I expected it to come off completely very easily with cleansing oil. That wasn’t the case, and I had to use a cotton bud with micellar water to remove the residue. It’s pretty standard procedure when removing eyeliner, so it doesn’t bother me.

  3. The lash band is short on my unusually long eyes. If you’ve ever used false eyelashes and had to cut the ends or it’s just the right length, you’re safe.

CONS

  1. You definitely need put on eyeliner and make it as thick as the band of the lashes. If you're not into eyeliner at all (like me), this may not be for you. The same brand offers magnetic lashes that come with a thinner band, and you'll get a better no-liner look with that line of eyelashes instead.

If you love false eyelashes or lash extensions, this is a great substitute for salon lash extensions, especially now during the quarantine. If you’re already good at using eyeliner, it’ll take 3-5 minutes. If you’re still learning, I think 10 minutes is already a lot of time. Practice makes perfect! The more you practice, the faster you'll be at putting the lashes on. Don't worry so much too, the lashes are forgiving in that you don’t need to make perfect lines, the lash band will cover it anyway, and the eyeliner is easy to correct with micellar water.
